Conversations with Adèle Exarchopoulos of BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR

Abdellatif Kechiche's newest film, based on Julie Maroh's graphic novel, was the sensation of this year's Cannes Film Festival even before it was awarded the Palme d'Or. Adèle Exarchopoulos is Adèle, a young woman whose longings and ecstasies and losses are charted across a span of several years. Léa Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) is the older woman who excites her desire and becomes the love of her life. Kechiche's movie is, like the films of John Cassavetes, an epic of emotional transformation.

I love how openly she talks. Somehow I appreciate the movie even more knowing all the hardship they had to go through during the filming. Also, I miss Léa.

She's so right about there being a trade off of violence vs sensual passion here in America. I don't like violence so i tend to watch other films. This one made me relive a part of my life and it was so intense! The best performance I've ever seen. They were both brilliant! Congrats!
