How do you contend or defend people wanting to be a part of nation of indigenous folks that would side with the natives versus the people that had been stolen them from their land? I have *Dawes Rolls* , among other documents showing *Tribal Citizenship* , *Blood Quantum* , along with the proper sequence of events which led to the situations in question. It's about my history and love of culture, not trying to gain anything from a tribe, which is why I'm severely hurt by all the comments regarding Freedmen descendants referring to tribal members as so -called "$5 Indians" as a hate speech terminology. These people only want to get into the tribe to benefit themselves. It's deeply disturbing. .
