My husband Jerry Dunfey and I were so grateful to see "Kathy" Kathrada and his wife Barbara Hogan again last week when they were in Geneva. These two remarkable human beings, who we are honored to know, are an example to us all of dedication and humility!

I just finished "No Bread for Mandela" - what a terrrific memoir. This book gave me an intimate view of the enormous strength that these courageous people had and the atrocities they endured to bring about the end of Apartied. Their tenacity to persevere for so long is unparalled in the past 40 yrs as is their triumph. You will all be forever remembered in the history books right along with Lincoln, Ghandi, Martin Luther King - as men of peace and vision. that we so desperately need.

I'm reading "a long walk to freedom" and this guy is one of my favourite characters in addition to walter sisulu and of course "mr" mandela himself.

I agree. And Oliver Tambo, who was not imprisoned. He played a critical role in advocating for continued resistance.
