Based on a true story that gripped the country, When They See Us will chronicle the notorious case of five teenagers of color, labeled the Central Park Five, who were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The four part limited series will focus on the five teenagers from Harlem -- Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise. Beginning in the spring of 1989, when the teenagers were first questioned about the incident, the series will span 25 years, highlighting their exoneration in 2002 and the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014.

This is a very ESSENTIAL topic. I have 3 boys, BLACK boys and I can't imagine them going through anything of this nature or myself as a mother. This miniseries I'm sure opened a lot of eyes to injustice and had a lot of people heart aching for Antron, Raymond, Yusef and Kevin but breaking for Korey 😢😭💔 This will forever be with me for the rest of my life and R.I.H to Kalief Browder

OMG WHY DOESN’T THIS HAVE WAY MORE VIEWS ?!? This is so important to take in . And I know some people think “oh we watched the show and the men our out” but guess what it’s not over yet . The awareness needs to be never-ending . I love you Niecy and Jharrel💕

I loved this interview! And Jharrel & Niecy are so great together. Would love to see them doing another project or just talking in general. The series was very intense but the comedy in this interview helps lighten things up a bit. They both did amazing.
