Conversations with Megan, featuring Olivia MacKinnon

Olivia is an up and coming corps member at NYCB who has been rocking every soloist opportunity she has been given on our grand stage. She just launched her Ballet Inspired Fitness during quarantine from her family home in Mobile, Alabama. We caught up after months apart and discussed what it's like to have a sibling in the company, finding the joy of teaching during this dark time, and our secret tips for staying in shape. Wonderful to see how the younger members of the company are doing and thriving through the pandemic. I would love to see an interview with you and dancers (or other ballet 🩰 people, like choreographers) from other countries and companies around the world, that would be so interesting... what do you think? Just got back into the studio 2 days ago teaching real kids again and felt so lucky!!! This pandemic is certainly teaching us how to be in the moment and enjoying every single bits...I hope we are going to keep this feeling alive for a while! 💜

I do want to sit back and watch a class. It's not voyeurism. I want to know how hard certain levels are before I commit. I am starting all over again, but I am not an absolute beginner. But I feel like I would be a weird guy paying to watch class to ascertain difficulty for the very reasons you all mention. I am also working through post military injuries, so I really need placement maybe? But I know there are weirdos out there.
