00:20 - What is knocking in petrol engine?
Knocking is a phenomenon that happens in petrol engines with high compression ratio. Due to high temperature regions inside the cylinder caused due to the high compression ratio, petrol tends to get ignited automatically without the help of spark plug. This causes a metal sound inside the cylinder, called knocking.

05:09 - How to convert FWD to RWD?
Change the engine and transmission layout from transverse to longitudinal style, add a propeller shaft, add a rear differential, add drive shafts from the differentials to the rear wheels. All these cannot be done easily as it seems on paper. Also, converting a FWD to RWD may not give an efficient result.

Simple bro 4wd cars will have longitudinal engine placement and front wheels ah disengage panikalam but in AWD system engine will be in transverse position and We can't disengage the wheels, all the time power wil be delivered to all the wheels

Hi Fazil, I have an i20 Petrol 2013 model and I got what we call "engine knocking" sound. It sounded a lot like the typical diesel clatter. Metal to metal type of sound. I was told to do engine decarb, change clutch plates (not sure why) and many other recommendations from various mechanics and Hyundai themselves. Hyundai engineers were the worst of the lot because they are programmed like robots and didn't know beyond regular servicing of Hyundai cars. Finally, I consulted a tyre shop owner who drives an Evoque and he asked me what petrol I use. I said Shell V-Power. He said don't use that and use regular HP, BP, IO etc. He further explained that he filled Speed 97 and it immediately ruined his fuel filter. I followed his advice and that solved the problem. The i20 is not at all a high compression engine and I was filling Shell V-Power which is generally for high compression engines (for high performance cars). Just thought I'd explain what I faced with a regular car. Cheers.

The first question about knocking you have said is correct but you can add one thing also if customer using not recommended spark plugs buying from outside because of high compression it also getting Red hot so when compressed air fuel coming to Bdc to Tdc automatically it get explosion it that time also knocking coming

5:30 bro but somehow rwd cars feel good in track. It gives some pushing feel in corners and makes more dynamically agile...I know there are many options like the civic type r, renault Megane RS, vw golf r internationally in fwd performance cars, but somehow rwd cars feel better. Rwd avoids torque steer, wheelspin and makes the car more agile... Who needs a rwd affordable performance car in india like me? Like the Mazda mx5 Miata, Toyota gt86 etc..

Bro Now a day some brands adding turbo charger in petrol cars. For what reason they are adding in mid range petrol cars becz thr is no need for high compression air for mid range like 1000cc cars. And also thr s not enough power from exhaust to run turbo chargers in petrol cars. How they implemented tht tech in mid range petrol cars and how helpful it is ?
