No matter what, any day of the week, Guardsmen with bolters will always look badass to me, especially on Catachan jungle fighters. A touch of overkill on the epitome of underkill in the 40k universe.

Isn't inaccurate to the lore though ?

@@_YS27 often times bolters that are shrunk down are given to sergeants of the imperial guard. if i remember correctly they’re called infantry bolters

Wargames Atlantic's French 1915-1940 box works much better than their German 1915-1918 box. The bodies are almost perfect for Krieg and they come with backpack that, while noticeably thinner, looks very close when they are at arm's length away. I did this same exact idea, using all the extra arms and bits, and was able to double the number of Infantrymen I had. All painted up no one notices the difference.

Awesome info! Thanks! I'll update my blog post soon and add the French box.

These are dope! I used Les Grognard bodies for my extra bits too! The gas mask heads fit really nice from that Wargame Atlantic kit too. So funny we came up with the same idea! I've been wanting to kit bash Saurus and Skinks to fit with my Imperial Guard

Thank you! I know since I made this video last year (this is reuploaded to this new channel) they releases the Death Fields Weapon Upgrade Sprue, which may be the most cost effective way. I just knew that I had all these half build minis left over that needed some love.

I used my spare Krieg bits from the Kill Team Octarius box-set to make some cool-looking Kommando Gretchin: modified ork gasmasks with Krieg Veteran accessories ))

as for kit bash ideas the small ww1 german bodies could work well as younger krigers as some of if not quite a few of them are as young as 15 ..... that or they could make some great white shields for a generic ww1 inspired guard regiment "less ww1 styled adrian / stall helms and more of the English ww1 broady helmets for more of a western front style"

Good point! I read up on Krieg a bit after I made the video, and yeah they get them young.

Damn that's a great idea I could use it on my kriegsmans too. I wonder if I can buy these sets you mentioned in Poland

Ill give you a subscribe because I love Krieg and this was great...but zenithal it to make the details more visible. Just minor input.

Thanks for the input and sub! I like to paint with a lot of "Citadel Base" paints and I find they're not opaque enough to warrant a zenithal. I like zenithal with contrast paints, though. If I ever start messing around with an airbrush, I'd definitely use zenithal too.
