Hi Hector, your videos are amazing. Ty so much! I have several questions that I wonder if you can assist? 1) My company has 2 arms (both a C3 and a C4) for which we currently have 2 QB Desktop files that we want to convert to QBO. However, we use one company email address for both companies. In other words, we don't have separate email addresses for each company as they all fall under one parent heading. Will we be able to convert the two files using the one email address? I ask because I am trying to think through how QB will know which company to convert if we do that. Or do we need to create/setup separate email addresses for each company? 2) Is there a way to convert some but not all of the data from QB Desktop to QBO? We only want to go back to a certain year vs the inception of the QB Desktop file - is there some way to initiate that during the conversion? 3) We all have a lot of vendors and customers set up years ago in the QB Desktop file that are not used currently and we would prefer not to carry over to QBO. Is there a way to do that? If we inactivate those vendors will they not convert over? 4) Lastly, do you have any videos on how to set up QBO if we purchased the software from Techsoup? Thank you!!!!

Another example, two llcs under one parent company? Do I have to have a separate email for each LLC to set the companies up in QBs online or can I use the same email, if that further helps explain.

Hi Hector, QB has been telling me I should upgrade to Enterprise , which I find to be very expensive for what I use it for. I have a two user desktop license, I have 3 companies. I’ve used QB for YEARS, but I don’t use everything I should. I do payroll, reconciliations, invoicing, estimates and bill pay. I think I would like to switch to online but my CPA doesn’t like the online version. Suggestions please?

Nothing that you mentioned specifically tells me that you need Enterprise or not. Are the files really large? With a lot of items/name? Do you manage inventory? If the answer is NO to all those then QB online might work, but you will pay PER company file; so the cost could be close to Enterprise

Hector, Noah here. Wow great video man. Thanks. I have a service business and am wanting to convert QB to Online, as you show in this video. Question#1: In our expense accounting, I use the Class function to allocate a unique Class name to each service vehicle. This allows us to track fuel and repair expenses per vehicle. If I subscribe to QBO Essentials plan, I understand it doesn't include Class. Would I be able to find a similar function in QBO Essentials, (such as Tags??), and have my office manager tag the expenses per vehicle, instead of using the Class function? I am wondering, because I would like to use the Essentials instead of the Plus, to save $30/mo. Question #2: If I use Essentials, would I be able to have 3 of my office staff log in, and ALSO have a local CPA log in? If it's much better to go Plus for these two reasons, I definitely will... You need to do Plus, so you can do classes at the line item level. Tags cannot go that granular. If you go from Desktop to Online, I can get you a 50% discount in it, so after a year if you want to go back to essentials you can

Hi, Garcia hope you are well there is a problem i am facing regarding data migration from QBD to QBO, i have purchased subscription QBO Plus in middle east (Country: bahrain) i have migrated data to QBO but this data is not available for other four users(as you know this plus subscription support 05 users) except Master Admin through which data was migrated, could you guide me why this is so. and version convert into QBO Advance trial when data is migrated in spite of that only QBO plus subscription was available in that region.
