These vans were ahead of it's time when it came out in 1965. We in America wouldn't get something as remotely close to a long nose van until 10 years later with the 3rd gen Econoline.

Nice, this is the Diesel engine right? My dad converted a similar Transit van (well with a 1.5l gasoline engine) to a camper when I was a kid, we loved it.

The v6 3.0 also used the bull nose too.

@@rogerfrancis65 Ah OK. I don’t think that one was available in the Netherlands at the time, I believe the biggest gasoline engine available in NL was a 2.0 L.
