I want to use this printer for sublimation as well, but when I insert the sublimation ink (that is compatible) I get a warning. It states: Warning: Ink Cartridge: not recognize BK, C, M, Y. You have to keep taking out the ink cartridges and putting them back in until it recognizes them. Since these are third-party cartridges and not Epson, the printer won't recognize them right away until you keep trying.

Hello! Thank you for watching! Glad it helps. The ink I use is from Cosmos Ink. When you purchase the ink, they also include the cartridges. If you don't have the installation CD look it up on Epson's website and download it from there, if not contact them.

There's cleaning kits you can use to clean the printer. But if you don't want to spend money just put in the new cartridges with the sub ink and just keep printing out test pages until you see that the prints are bright.

I can't answer that because most cartridges tend to be made differently, you have to see the instructions the company provided.

Hello! Thanks for watching! I honestly don't know exactly what you can do. If I was you and this is just my own personal opinion, I would flush the ink out and rinse it with water until the cartridge was clean and then once it is completely dried, I would start all over! That is what I would do, it could work or not. So sorry this happened.

I rinsed it slightly and easy in just that area with a syringe and I let it dry .. so yeah girl it seems to be working alright. Thank you! I’m glad I did something similar to your suggestion! I feel better about it now, about test print on sublimation paper we’ll see what happens over time.

Hello! The beautiful thing about sublimation is that you don't need to cut the design or weed because the ink from the paper transfers over to the shirt once you press it!

The actual printer doesn't have settings to change, if its printing blank make sure your computer is reading the printers ink levels. You can also do a nozzle check.

Actually You can! Some people use printers that aren't new and have been used and they convert them. However, once you put in sublimation ink then you can't go back.

I installed the sublimation ink first some people suggest that you install the epson inks first just to make sure the printer actually works but I didn't want to do all that.

I’ve seen multiple people install the Epson ink first, convert, then print multiple test pages to push the sublimation ink through the lines. Also, just like Idalis said, many people buy used printers and convert to sublimation. Something to know before spreading misinformation especially when you run a business.

Hello. No need to buy another. You can convert it. It will take alot of head cleanings but it is possible. All you need to buy is the sublimation ink and the refillable cartridges.

Basically the pigment ink that comes with it has contaminated the heads/nozzles so i believe they sell a cleaning kit maybe somewhere online for this. If not. Please... LOOK IP A VIDEO ON HOW TO SWITCH/CONVERT YOUR PRINTER. Demand is high for these yet any printer can be converted it just has to have refillable cartridges and brand new (not new, it needs cleaned)

That is odd. It should at least be printing something. Check on your computer to see if the ink levels are showing. If they are not then the printer is not reading them and you will need to uninstall and reinstall. If the ink levels are showing then print a few test pages until something is showing.

@@sandrapugh8291 I didn't take the coloured bungs out so the air pressure built up 😅. Eventually sorted when taking the bungs out and putting the cartridges back in.. Took a few nozzle and head cleans but eventually started showing more on the paper :)

Hello! That hasn't happened to me but I have heard that if you reset the cartridges my taking them out and putting them back in you should be fine. If the problem continues then take them out wait a bit put them back in and wait sometimes patience is key.
