Good video. The problem is not doing dtf with epson printers, is that not all of them can print white ink. If anyone want to print just white shirt sure they can use WF 7210, or like me that I have ET 15000, I will post a video soon about that. But on dark shirt without white don’t looks good and the transfer is no good for sale for dark shirts, the lakers for white shirts is awesome!

Yes, this is just a inexpensive method for those who may not have the ability to purchase a actual DTF printer. I have another method that will allow you the ability to also press on black. I will be post the video soon.

You can try replacing your black ink cart with white ink, then just print black using your color inks (which can be done by changing a print setting) and then you can do the first pass through printing with the color carts, then do a 2nd pass printing with the white ink. You will have to create a silhouette of your original image and then print that in white.

@@saidzakaria3232 its a hell of a process but the first step is too get your first image printed in color in the matte paper setting standard after the image is printed replace the black ink cartridge with a white once replaced run a couple of solid black prints in the black in grey print settings that way the print head flushes out all of the black ink before you put your transfer back into the printer once you see the color print transition from black too white the design is ready for print and once you load the paper use matte paper settings again but set it to high there for it lays down more of a white base of ink over the color and you dont have to worry about the ink drying in the process its about a 20 minute process but the ink still remains moist before you powder

When using the 7210, it’s not the same process when it comes to maintenance. Their is no white ink, so clogging will be minimum to none.

Wow sis that is a beautiful video in order for you to get the white you need to have a 6 color printer and acrorip software this software allows you to change the color or any printing cartridge but 6 is the limit in minimum. That's how you get the white to print out.

I think you can just replace the black cart with a white cart then just run the print through twice , once for color print, and once for white cover over the color areas. Would just have to change printer settings to not use the black cart, then turn back on when you want to print the white. I think I might try this too.

Yes, the printer I used in the video I once converted it to sublimation, and now it’s a DTF. It will just take several head and nozzle cleaning before the ink starts to flow.

For the black shirt, you need white ink to use a s a background color. But because the Epson only holds 4 colors it’s no where to add white ink, so this is why this method is only good for white gourmets.

The white ink is the problem ink when it comes to clogging. but, just like any other converted printer it will require daily maintenance. I did not have remove any rollers. Their is no top layer of white, therefore the color ink prints on the film just as thin as it would on regular paper. to remove the sub ink, you can flush the line with cleaning solution and heads cleaning. All i did was change the cartages and added the cartages with dtf ink, did about two head cleaning and was good. The printer has been in good working condition since. I no longer have it, its was gifted!

you can't. That's one of the limitations. If you have a vinyl cutter, you can apply a layer of white to the designs shape, as a base, then sublimate onto the vinyl once on the shirt.

But its a longer more costly process, not worth it for small runs and all garments need to be washed after printing. But yes, it's a shame

It isn't bad but gets frustrating to cut and weed out, and then use a sticker sheet to remove it from the backing to then heat press it. I definitely wouldn't suggest it, since the white ink need to be shaken or turned to keep it from separation. The white ink clogs quickly and you want something that you will be able to remove and clean.

The only way it would work is if your got RIP software that supports the printer, or possibly if you use white in the black ink cartridge, since most printer drivers have a feature to turn off the black cart when printing, and turning it back on afterwards.

You need at least a six channel printer to do DTF that is only a four channel printer you can’t even come close to doing DTF with that with that

You need a six channel printer if your printing white ink!!! Just because it’s not printing white does not mean it’s not DTF. DTF is the process of printing your image directly on a pretreated film, and being able to press on cotton without having to do any cutting , weeding, or A+B transfers! The white only allows you to do this process on dark gourmet, so just because it don’t print white don’t mean it’s not dtf, it just means you can’t press on dark gourmets. Do your research! This is a inexpensive method that works!
