Wow Bob! Such a huge improvement on the lighting giving such a clean bright white light. You have inspired me to change my lights out too. To the sand lights and bulbs. 💡 Can you please post some links to all the different lights and bulbs you got? Also to block out those apartment buildings and create a nice green privacy for you guys. I would suggest planting a long row of “Italian Cypress” they grow tall and thin getting only to a maximum of 3-4 feet wide when mature and don’t take a lot of water either. You’d place stone chips on top of them so the roots doesn’t dry out after 1 week in the sun. ☀️ Would make an awesome project! Blessings !!!

Thank you for the tip on those blinker bulbs with resistor. I have a 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6 and the Italian wiring was never up to the task of anything with even a meager amp draw. Making this conversion will go a long way towards helping me be seen since the incandescent bulbs aren’t even as bright as a birthday candle! Keep up the great content!!

I've done multiple LED conversions. Start with good led chips that duplicate the size and shape of the incandescent filament. CSP chips are great. Look for the brand Stark Industries and fanless. You'll see their H4. The low beam has a hood to work with the reflector. This will give you a sharp cutoff pattern.

@RobertMoseley7 ай бұрын
I don't wash it, we wipe it off. I have a spotless water I can rinse it with, but I doubt I will ever use it on this car. We blow it off, then wipe it off and use a quick detailer on it. It never goes in the rain or through a car wash. Even if it gets wet, it's 5% humidity and 110f here. It will dry in about 2 minutes.

When it comes to blinkers, the best option is to replace the mechanical flasher module with an electronic unit. Then you don't have to mess with adding resistors which kind of defeats the whole purpose of a low-powered LED. You do have to be careful when it comes to LED tail lights. Some cruise control designs require seeing a certain amount of resistance through the tail light bulbs for the system to work. So if the cruise control stops working, you may need to add some small load resistors to the tail lights circuit.

The fact that the bulb needs a fan to cool it is a bit scary.
@JasonWW20007 ай бұрын
Not really, LEDs have to operate at a much cooler temperature than incandescent. The biggest problem is the fans are noisy and probably won't last very long. You can also get LEDs without fans.
@RobertMoseley7 ай бұрын
An incandescent bulb is just a toaster in a glass tube. It IS heat and the light coming from it is the same as the sun's glow. An LED is creating light through a different spectrum of technology, but the electricity used to operate it gets hot so it has to be cooled. Welcome to the future.
