Thank you so much mate! Just spent 2hrs scratching my head wondering why my sata adapter wasn't fitting properly. Didn't realise there was 2 different models of ps2 network adapter. 👍👍👍

Just finished my install, this tutorial was really useful cause if I didn't watch it then my dumbass would've forgotten about the spacers lol. Now we just have to wait for the drive to arrive and then I'll finally be able to try out PSBBN with some funky ps2 games.

@@otherretro it's definitely not as effective as OPL but it's cool and it's got funky menu's and I'm all about funky menu's lol.

¿Cuál es el diámetro interior que debe tener la arandela? ¿Arandelas M3 x 9mm con 3mm de diámetro interno servirán? Quiero tenerlo preparado antes de que me lleguen la placa y el adaptador

where did you get those 10mm washers? I have some washers for car stuff but they are way too big for this use case.
@otherretro4 ай бұрын
@@kalmtraveler I found them at my local hardware store. I’m pretty sure that 8 or 9 mm would also work.

Im guessing it still run at IDE speeds, which were terrible!

basically, yes
@eraldorh11 ай бұрын
@@xnike9004 Pointless then tbh. Better off using the memory card to sd card adapter as the speeds are faster than both the HDD and usb flash drives/hdds.

yeah, basically

Yes, you’re limited by the PS2 bus speed of 66.7 mb/s. The main reason for this is to use more modern/economical hard drives and to retain the LAN connection that the third party adapters don’t have.
@NuffMan_11 ай бұрын
@@eraldorh what i researched, the ide at udma4 is way faster than memorycard slot. Also with hdd/ssd, you have 2 memorycard slots free for use

Im doing the similar with SCPH-10350 and the pcb board. Did it work perfectly for you after you converted it? Like is the network working and the SATA device?
@otherretro3 ай бұрын
@@elezenraider7763 I haven’t tried connecting it with a LAN cable yet, but I have connected it to a 1TB HDD and a 320GB HDD to play roms using FMCBOOT and OPL.

The Bitfunx v2.0 doesn't work with the official Sony SCPH-10350 network adapter. "If" that is an original SCPH-10350 in the video, it is internally different to mine, which I know is original.

This board works with any official network adapter for PS2, the only difference is in the installation

There's actually a way to do it without the washers using the white bumbers and screws that came with it , I did mine last night stumped me but it worked out.
@majikthise706310 ай бұрын
I did the same, I suspect that reconmendation of the washers is to stop the plate dropping into the housing and having the main plate possible short to the back of the SATA board. You could probs just put some insulating tape over the main plate to accomplish a similar effect.
