The Ten Model 150A from the factory was a 100 watt, 8 Channel Crystal Controlled Commercial Radio operating USB (LSB as an option) in the 2 - 12MHz range. The IF was at 12MHz.
I bought this radio for $100 and the 1st conversion was to use a remote VFO/control box that could select the 160, 80, 60, 40, 30 and 20M bands. I changed that over so that the Digital LO was inside the box and the band coverage was changed to 80 - 20M.
If you added the LSB option a second SSB filter was needed. The BFO was at a fixed frequency and to change from LSB to USB required two filters. (Drake style). Not finding a LSB filter I simply did a bit of magic by placing the VFO range so that a sideband inversion would result. I did this with a Bitx40 to give USB on 40M
An 8-position panel mounted switch selected the correct BPF and LPF. Since the radio stopped at 12MHz I had to change one of the BPF's and LPF's to cover 14MHz. Thank you, LT Spice!.
