Awesome How To. I have a number of older radios that my dad had sitting around as furniture… The issue with trying to repair these older radios is that the dialectic in the capacitors and resistors, etc.. has lost its ability to control proper voltage levels. The cost of replacing each discrete component would be expensive even if you can find the parts. This is a brilliant way to restore an old classic. Thank you for the recommendation on Bluetooth components.

A great, helpful walk-through video. Shortly about to undertake a very similar project here in England, UK. Enjoy merging old radio architecture with modern audio technology. Thanks.
This one is discontinued. Is there another one you recommend?

What did you use to connect Alexa to the two radios you have playing at the beginning of the video? Did you connect them to echo dots in addition to the Bluetooth amps?

This Bluetooth doesn’t have an external antenna. Is the range and ability to control it easily from a 2000sf home for example?

Do you have to turn all of the raidos/speakers on (by switch or plug in) everytime you use them so that there is not speaker hum or can you leave them on so that you can ask alexa at anyime to play music hands free?

Love your German console. Is it a Telefunken? I have a table top, Telefunken, but parts of the chasis has just disintegrated over time. I should give it to someone for parts salvage.

Really nice background music!! Which LP is it? Sounds a lot like Percy Faith or Mantovani!

In that situation, you could pick up a cheap smart socket and turn the Bluetooth on and off with your voice with Alexa or Google.
