***** Why is that a good thing? Being a Christian doesn't mean you're a good person.
@lupehernandez25959 жыл бұрын
Tara Meir I think what Christopher meant was that perhaps this situation cause the guy to turn his life around and give his life to Christ. If he did do this, then he is saved. But only God knows his heart for sure. And you are right. Not all Christians are good people, but then that means they aren't really true Christians (they are hypocrites). We all have done bad things, some worse than others. We all have to pay for those bad decisions. But if we truly want to be forgiven and change, then Christ can save us if we truly want to be saved. Being saved would mean you no longer want to do wrong or hurt other people. If this guy is just quoting scriptures just because he is sorry he got caught, then that is not true repentance at all, and he is not saved.

If someone broke into your home or was beating and/or raping you I bet you'd be glad to see a cop. There are some calls cops go on that they don't turn their lights and siren on. A cop puts his life on the line every time they stop someone. I am very proud of my brother. And the woman was smiling and laughing but that's how some people deal with stress. Some cry, some scream. Let me give you an update, and the TRUTH about this death sentence. Note that the reporter said "Ashford Thompson will die for his crime." Note also that this was a 2010 video. The execution was eventually scheduled for May 1st, 2015. That was moved to April 2017, and the 2017 date has now, already, been postponed, to a date not yet determined. Odds are, in reality, that he will never be executed, because the sentnce will be reduced or ruled illegal for one reason or another, and commuted to life in prison. However, IF he is ever executed, he will have had at least 7 years to live, AFTER being not only tried and convicted, but actually SENTENCED. DO NOT believe the news when it says "murderer will die for his crime" or "murderer will spend the rest of his life behind bars." It will only happen in a very small percentage of the cases.

Guys, I cannot do your research for you, but try this (which I have): when you see on network or local news that someone "will die for his/her crime" or "will spend the rest of his/her life behind bars" Look up the criminal's name a few years later, and you will see that in the vast overwhelming majority of cases, what they actually get is less, T.J. Lane killed people then acted like a total prick in court about it, got the death sentence. All over the internet, people were saying "little dick is going to die, though!" He isn't dead. Sentence was changed from death to life in prison. Give it another 15 years and it will be commuted again, in 20 years he will be out. It happens all the time! There was a woman in Reno who was convicted some years ago of the murders of 6 people, convicted and sentenced to death. She actually died of natural causes 25 years later on death row. It is incredibly rare for those convicted to serve the sentences they were given. Good way to look at this is to look up 5 year old murder convictions on youtube ( you can tell by the posted date), then google the murderer's name. With only rare exceptions, you will find that he/she is still awaiting retrial, appeal, new sentence hearing, OR that their original sentance has ALREADY been reduced.

@marfdeknarf10 жыл бұрын
Holy shit some people have to see racism in everything. I bet you would call a white man eating a brownie a racist. He wasn't a young African btw, he was a young American. Young black American kills white American in, guess where, America and gets sentenced by an American court. Beside his color, where does the African part come in and how is it relevant?
@Hathormaat4710 жыл бұрын
Robert Mrava Your viewpoint is understandable if it was based on a system that provides justice for ALL. Unfortunately, Africans in America have existed here without justice from the first day our kidnappers brought us ashore. Also, if the young African had a criminal record that reflected a violent lifestyle and was relevant to his charges, then I would not have made those comments. BUT, this guy was more than likely PROFILED and felt the need to defend his life. Someone who deliberately kills anyone, ususlly sits in court with smug looks or unremorseful behavior of some type. They USUALLY don't cry like babies.
