It's not right that the killers get to sit on death row for 20yrs, using the system to launch their legal appeals. The victims didn't have that privilege. This situation is not only an oxymoron, but it should be used as an example to get the law changed. I suggest getting it changed to a points based system. Once the death penalty is sentenced, then a checklist made up to award points for expedition. Along with that, an improvement in evidence collection, dna, recording devices, we now get more accuracy with the investigation and legal system, there should be less needs for appeals.

I'm not saying he should be free, but to be in amazement by this is crazy... this is sad and unfortunate. Like the prosecutor said, there's a price to pay, but who pays for him being rated as a child or his mom being a junkie and him witnessing her on, smh. This is tragic and unfortunate on both ends. Timothy Loehmann does not repent at all. He keeps trying to go back to the police for having possibility to kill more people without punishment using qualified immunity. That's why he deserves the death penalty much more than Joseph McAlpin. Or at least, the life imprisonment. Joseph McAlpin does not try to work at police and does not try to continue murdering. Most likely, he can repent. He admits he was wrong. Timothy Loehmann does not admit he was wrong. He showed no sign of remorse for his actions, and he is completely indifferent to Tamir's parents' suffering. If I made decisions, I would replace them.

Usually murder cases take YEARS and that is normal, EVERYONE has the RIGHT TO A FAST AND SPEEDY TRIAL WITHIN 120 days BUT MANY ppl waive their right to the 120 days so they have longer to prepare & the longer it is before trial- ppls memory aren’t as good and there could be reasons ppl that testify against you are not deemed reliable anymore, they could have lost their life (ppl usually associate with ppl like them) & co-defendants- the likelihood of something happening that make it to where they can’t testify against them anymore many things can happen in the years before trial happens. When death penalty is on the table, they have to make sure they have enough time to prepare for trial and that they do it properly so they hopefully they can’t win any appeals they try to do, if you have a public defender- they have SOO many cases and there many that are qualified to work on cases with death penalty if convicted

Perhaps read the case file before making false assumptions. He committed the murders in 2017. He was sentenced to death in 2019 by a jury. That is less than 2 years. The rest of the time was the defendant filing a bunch of motions for appeal, motions for a new trial, motions for prosecutorial misconduct, motions for continuances, etc.

So funny how they always try to make them more “educated” or “human” by putting glasses on the defendants faces…

And you know this, how? Maybe the man just needs glasses. I am not a murderer, but if I were, I would sure as heck be wearing glasses in court as well.

Uhm what if he just needs them? Lmao i get you hate the murderer but you don’t need to call out something so small and make yourself look stupid
@corelltemple29392 жыл бұрын
@@gmansplit No. Google it. Similar to the “Twinkie defense”, there is a defense known as a “nerd defense”. Some of these criminals have NEVER been known to wear glasses, EVER but, all of a sudden- they don glasses. To court. That is the “nerd defense”- a tactic used to gain sympathy from the jury or judge.

His kids will grow up with a single mother and gorge themselves on millions of dollars of welfare. They will then have kids at 15 and collect their welfare. The cycles goes on.
