I was thinking about the L21B but I was torn on emitters, it's holding me back on other projects, I'm in a procrastination OCD loop 😂 I think the z1 In 3000k is neat but I think he L21B or heavier cooler looking less balanced L21A, but that litte c8 +isn't far off output wise and so small, but L21b seems to be the target, you ever make hummus, I'm overdue to make hummus lol. I could never get into the footy here, and it's expected that you know stuff about it, talk about it at work - I find it boring and an excuse to drink 😂 the L21B is a great throwy host. I have one with a CULPM1.F1 and XHP70.3 HI. It's less compact but a better option if you need longer distance performance. Hummus.. I buy mine pre made 😅

No, the longest throw is CSLNM1 in green. Then CULPM1.F1 (Green). Then the normal white ones of each.

More light than a PM1, and much larger hotspot too. I like the beam profile more than the SFT40. Perfectly round and has a little more range.

So it depends - are you needing super long range but not much flood? The CSLNM1 or CSLPM1(brighter version) will be ideal for that. Otherwise an SFT40 or SFT-25R are both going to great for long range and produce a ton of light. But less range than the first two.

Hi Darren, Convoy C8+ or Wurkkos TD01C for Throw & Self defense (blinding someone)? Shoud fit in a pocket of a winter jacket. i enjoy your videos.

Both could work but the TD01C has a proper tactical mode (momentary turbo). You could however program the convoy to 100% mode or to start in 100% mode all the time. The advance of the C8+ is that you can get different emitters like the green CULPM1.F1 - this has superior range.

@@DarrenYeoYT I have now ordered a Convoy M21A SFT40 8A and an M21B SFT40 8A, as I wanted the light to be a bit warm white. They are mainly used for walks in the forest and a smaller town. I think that both will have enough power. Thanks for all your videos, they have helped me a lot.

​@@caymanKR8A will run hot but also bright. If it gets too hot, just reduce the brightness or choose a mode grouping with 50% as the highest. You're welcome buddy.

Hi, I have four of these emitters in different hosts and all good so far. Granted I test them pretty extensively for a couple weeks but I don't perform runtime tests @100% until the battery goes flat. Just have to make sure they're not running too hot or high amps.

I find moisture or dust in the air can reduce the throw of a light significantly so better to have a lower spread/output LED like the 5050SQ3 / SFT40 / CULPM1.TG if you're planning to use it for hunting.

Depends if you want more light - if so, larger LEDs like the XHP70.3. But for throw, probably the osram W2 or this W5050SQ3.

Hey, yeah those cells should work fine - this isn't a light that pulls 10+ amps. I think this is a 5A driver - most 18650 cells can handle that easily, even protected ones.

You'll need to get an 18650 battery charger. XTAR do some good ones like the VC4 or VC8.
