In my experience, the M21B is the perfect host if one wants to try out the GT FC40 on the cheap, much better than tube torches such as the S11. With the reflector size and angle, you get an utter *wall* of light at higher modes when the hotspot and spill mix together. It's naturally floody with a big XHP70 sized LED, that can't be helped, but at the same time it's domeless by standard, so you get more throw than you'd normally expect. Plus, as mentioned in this review and unlike the S11, there are aggressive and prominent heatsinking fins in the M21B. That comes in handy, as the FC40 runs *_really_* hot at high currents* and any cooling helps. (*: which is why I keep mine in a 50% max mode group)

I had both the M21B and M21H with the XHP70.3HI 5000K R9050, and always ended up using the M21H more because the 12 degree TIR optic produced a much more useful beam pattern than the parabolic reflector.

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV The 4000K R70 and the 5700K R9050 supposedly look to be equally consistent in their tint, staying away from wild swings. I got lucky with the 5000K in the M21H, but the M21B has a pronounced green tint.

Unless Simon has changed it recently I believe mode group 10 is 1, 10, 35, 100%. It's usually my go-to. Your chart shows groups 9 and 10 as the same.
