The M21J's beam demo at the end was pretty illuminating and far reaching. I felt pretty much enlightened after that. 🔦☺️

If possible, could you compare the different emitter options in the S21G Alu? SFT70 5000K, SFT40 5000K, maybe ask for a version with the new SFT25R with 8A driver?
@DarrenYeoYT4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the heads up on this emitter. I've never heard of it until now but just read some posts on Reddit. Seems it jas higher candela than SFT40 and even the W2... I'll try get some samples.

@@DarrenYeoYT Jup, higher candela than W2, close to W1. Output between W2 and SFT40. Ugly tint tho. He also has the SFT-12 (3A max)

I'll stick with the L7. I prefer the thicker tube and longer runtimes (2 X 26800.) Would be interested to see an L7 with a big TIR in it, though.

@DarrenYeoYT thanks for this review, just discovered it. Love how you are on top of the new releases. Do you have any experience with the Acebeam L35 beam patterns? How does this compare? I've got plenty of throwers but am interested in a TIR with some flood & throw. I know this isn't a XHP70, but just wondering about your thoughts on its floodiness compared to L35. Thank you!
@DarrenYeoYT2 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! I don't have the L35 but in general, Acebeam have better build quality and more balanced beam profile. I'm unsure if they have the XHP70 in any of their TIR lights. So they will produce significantly less light. However they should have better throw.

Im liking the beam and spill. Seems like a good farm light. Useful for close and far tasks. What kind of driver is it using?

@@Learned_Helplessness it is a buck driver. So the answer is yes until it reaches cut off and or temp/voltage stepdown.

Your bezel isn't tight. QC issue if tightened causing flakes off the TIR from it hitting the corners of the LED as it spins. TIR opening was made too small.

The M21J gets pretty damn hot on 100%, and when it steps down to 50% even. Wouldn't recommend running it for long periods on 100%. This seems to be the case with the M21B even. @@maggi98mw

i don't like the beam and spill, the lens also looks poor like on the wurkkos td01c ( i had it for 1 week), i would prefer to go more in the c8+ and SFT40 or the M21A + sft40 which is also a 21700 battery tube. This light is not for me, not interesting. The SBT90.2 needs a BIG smoothe reflector to push out the limit like on a L21A.
@DarrenYeoYT4 ай бұрын
TIR lens lights aren't for everyone. I'm actually hoping to see more aspheric lens flashlights :D but they'd have limited applications and no spill. For solid 1KM performance, I'd recommend something like the L7 or I also have the L8, 3X21D

Could someone tell me if it would (theoretically) be safe to try nitecore NBP100R 2x 21700 (parallel) battery in this light? Curious if the extra amps or potential mah bonus would be make a difference.
@DarrenYeoYT2 ай бұрын
I don't see why not, as long as they both have the same capacity and charged fully before using in the light. It's not one of those batteries with the positive and negative terminal on one end right?
@creed24092 ай бұрын
@DarrenYeoYT Hi, the contacts are arranged conventionally with positive at one end and negative at the other. However it is 3.6v 10,000mah so underneath the wrap holding the two 21700 together they are arranged in parallel. As opposed to 7.2v 5,000mah when using two 21700 in series. I ask because apparently the sbt90.2 is a 3v led so the torch wouldn't have to regulate the voltage down but maybe as it was designed that way it will assume the batteries flat.
