Hello, I had a bad experience with nealsgadgets. After ordering a Convoy S21E with SST 40 + battery, they sent me an S21E with 519a, without battery! I explained that it was not the model I wanted and that the battery was missing. We had to threaten them to get an answer! They reimbursed the missing battery and promised to send me a smooth reflector like the modele SST40. 15 days later, I still don't have the smooth reflector and nealsgadget doesn't answer my questions. I would like to point out that on the packaging of the lamp it was clearly written SST40. No apology for the error and no offer of exchange. This is the last time I buy from them.

Convoy is great; i have three and will get more. This one is earmarked to be my last "at home flashlight". I currently use a Wurkkos TS21 for that function since 2021.

Thanks for this review and thanks for all the work you put into these videos! 🙂 Do you know why the S21E has more throw compared to it's tailswitch sibling S21A (at turn on)? Does it have a different reflector? To me the beamshots of the S21E also look a bit brighter than the S21A. Is it just my eyesight or are there other factors? 🙂

I did the same, i quit with alcohol in 2021 year. Flashlights were always in my life since i was a kid in the 90s. I loved night walks with my grandma as a kid with a old nostalgic flashlight, raised in a small village near the forest. Then i became to much a PC gamer and Holidays a party animal, Computer, Partys, and alcohol, i knew i had to stop it but it was very hard. Since 2021 i'm free from Partys, from alcohol, and mostly PC games. Now i don't have to waste my money anymore, started to watching reviews on YT about flashlights, and got some of them, like every month a new one to test it out from sofirn, wurkkos, convoy, fireflylite. I have 2 dogs they like to walk with me at night in my Village near the forest. I can turbo mode every direction i want, It gives me great satisfaction and makes me happier than the money I wasted on alcohol in the past. Now im waiting for the L21A with sbt90.2

I would of personally waited for the final release. This was a test sample, the new release has Anduril V2, but I do recall you enjoying V1 more.

Is there a source on Anduril 2 coming? Pretty sure this is it. I don't think the chip used can support Anduril 2. It would be great to see it though

Anduril 2 was a vanity exercise by Toykeeper and I had to fight very hard to stop Toykeeper from removing direct off from Turbo. The simple UI is a total farce.

I'm new to enthusiast flashlights and am about to just buy 1 of each emitter of the s21e flashlight in same or as close to Temps where available to compare them all side by side. Would love to see you do that video! Beginners guide to different emitters basically. Would be very interesting. Control is all the same flashlight model and battery cell(not sure that makes much difference for these not sure ifbthey can draw more than 10 amps?

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV i really like wurkkos and sofrin but some features are missing like tailcap switch which is mainly a convoy thing, and there is only a very few like the wurkkos TD04 and sofirn SP35. but no further modification on that brand unlike Convoy. if only they would sell aftermarket bling bling parts like convoy they would destroy the competition.

I have one. It's brighter than MS18 but not close to 120000. LED's all fine so far. The throw however is measuring beyond spec at turn on.

I hope Simon can offer Anduril in the other E-switch models. I have an S21E with an XHP50.3 high CRI (also in blue), the beam is a little tight compared to XHP50.2 (or a Pioneman K21X with an XHP70.3 in the same body).

I don't really understand flashlights too much but on the graph I see the Anduril version going down to just 170 lumens in no time while the simple one stays on 750. If I want to use it for cycling 750 lumens should do the job but 170 lumens would be too little.

This is the worst flashlight i ever had! The instruction at 4:38 is wrong! If you tap 4 times the flaslight is "off" and it can be only be revived by a "factory reset".The "blinky mode" is a nonsense mode of 3 times/5 times short flash - which means in morse code s zero, but not "sos". In addition the button light is always "on", which consumes energy of course.
