Reminds me of the 1st guy I loved. He constantly had to take "breaks to hang out with his friends-including a female with the last name of South, along with others I'm sure". Even as an engaged couple he did the same. When a man constantly makes you feel like you're not "good enough" & you cry yourself to sleep nightly because you don't understand what you could have done differently - it's time to let it go & hope the next man values you & makes you feel "enough."

To hear someone like “Conway Twitty” sing a song like this and these lyrics, that’s a lot to me, I’m feeling this song right now and it hurts, I can’t imagine his emotions singing it because that’s what “real country music singers did back then” almost 2020 July 14th to be exact and when people were real. This is a song I didn’t know existed. I heard it the first time a day ago and I was floored by this one. What a powerful message. Some people lie to take what they want from the one they have fooled to believe they love them, but people wake up and realize that, after being told from friends but,You can lead a horse to water but can’t make it drink. So true. So tragic. I like this one a lot. Still being moved by you Conway Twitty.

I know exactly how you feel …it really hits home for me also. My second husband loved me so much ! But at the time I didn’t see it,, he tried so hard to make the marriage work meanwhile I was steadily doing wrong, yes I cheated on him, I told him I was so close to cheating on him b/c he wasn’t giving me the attention I needed, what I didn’t realize was he already thought I was cheating,, which at that time I wasn’t,,instead I was crying out to him. But I have realized now that he was already believing I was.. and he had gave up on me.. But now that he still loves me then but believed the worse ! 2 yrs ago I lost him due to COVID 😢😢 It was then that I realized how much that man meant to me, if I could have gave my life to save his I would’ve 😢😢😢 B/c I knew as he laid there dying his heart was still mine… always was and always would be. But it was to late ! And that’s something I’ve gotta live with for the rest of my life. It was then that I realized He meant something more to me than I would ever get the chance to tell him,, or show him.. It was then that I knew He got tired of meaning something to someone and that someone was ME 😢😢😢😢
