Absolutely brilliant. Sooooo glad Gavin you went ahead with this segment. It's content such as this that develops and brings to bloom the very essence of our great outback. A huge part of which is due to amazing people such as Talis. Thankyou. And thankyou especially to Talis for inviting you (and us through media) into his world and life. :)

Thanks Gavin, what a wonderful insight into Opal mining. Talis is an absolute legend, and as a bonus, . . . recites poetry. It's a rare privilege to meet and spend time with these type of people as you travel through life. Thanks for the efforts and sharing the experience, cheers.

Another great and informative, interesting video. We are certainly blessed in this country and thats why we own 4 wheel drives to explore it. My uncle made a fortune mining there in the 60s and 70s . Bloody hard work in those days.

G'Day mate, well done, nice. One thing might be interesting for people to find out with this particular and maybe more eps in the future, What Makes Coober Pedy good for Opals, eg.. Type of Dirt or whatever produces Opals. Keep up the interesting Info. Cheers
