Here is a small tip. Rather than boiling a separate pot of water for the orzo pasta, just put the orzo pasta directly in the soup. No need to wash an extra pot!

I love tomato soup and grilled cheese but my husband is lactose intolerant. I use no dairy or pasta, I use carrots, potatoes and some diced tomatoes and chicken stock. The potatoes give my soup the body and thickness we both like. I use my immersion blender to break up the veggies and thicken the soup. I add salt, pepper and dry dill and serve. My husband loves it and it is easy on his stomach! Your mom has a beautiful home!

hey dear,beautiful kitchen.watching from Africa-Botswana.can u try put some salt n vinegar on that pot that u cooked soup.just a tablespoon of salt n tablespoon of vinegar.leave it to rest for maybe 10mins.the results should be better.can even do at the outside bottom of pot n then scrub.
