Soaking beans overnight make them a lot easier to digest. It releases the gases (you will see white foam sitting to the top the next morning). It cuts the cooking time in half too so you don’t end up wasting your propane too.

Yes, soak overnight w|a little baking soda helps cut all the gasses & shorten the cooking time. I do this for all my beans & peas aside from lentils or split peas.
