My brother did 13 years + change, and even though he's been home for 2, he still has moments that are just... difficult for him. He had his daily routine, working out, hitting the yard, congregating, church on Sunday, everything. What's really helped him is keeping a pocket notebook and checklists he goes over day after day until he doesn't need them, but he still has some from the day after he got out he goes over daily regardless. I'm only relating this in the hopes that maybe someone else adopts that and it helps them in their struggles. If you have loved ones going through the same, shoot em a text, pick up the phone, "You good? You okay?" It means a lot because the fear of freedom is absolutely real.

A lot of old niggas just trying to educate the young ones, they spit a lot of game and knowledge valuable to a shorty w a sponge for a mind. Thanks for all the guys that sought to uplift a lil nigga, and all the Folks who bought me Newports that 1st year😂I wasnt old enough to buy those on commissary so I just traded food for cartons. Funny how they can put you with grown people, but you cant buy grown products?! That moment at the commissary line when I was denied cigarettes, something humbled me. If I'm not old enough to buy this shit, then I'm not gonna be looked at as grown in here(cause at 17 in the joint, who is?) I had to read the 48 laws of power and learned how to move with my mind. After 1 year there, the brothers would all tell me that I was too mature for my age, and have been ever since.
