@@efrans2627 I know they all Polynesian, but it more similar to Tahiti because of architecture, stone marae. Samoa, Tonga and Niue architecture are 'samoan fale', Maori are polynesian but their arechitecture are different more like A-frame shape roof.

My dear I'm Tahitian and Mangaia and I say the Tahitians are the most outstanding. Not only that I was a Tahitian dancer for may years and I can tell you the Cooks Island have nothing on the Tahitians. We each have our own opinions and I will stand strongly by mine and you no doubt will stand by yours. Touche

The Cook Islands drums and dances are to the beat. You can almost say they sway to the rhythm or "bars" if you might say. Tahitians are off beat, uncoordinated and have nothing on the Cook Islands cultute. Very similar yet different in dialect.

The Tahitian dancing and drumming is the most exciting in the South Pacific. My experience has been that the Cook Islands have copied the Tahitians and have come up off a very second best

No we did not copy from our Tahitian family. If your a Cook Islander you can tell the major differences.

Oh boy, I’m Tahitian by mother side but these are two different styles of drumming and dancing. They might look and sound the same but if you’re from the islands, you would know better. Btw, Cook Islands and Tahiti are in the same family just different political status.
