Rice flour I think is important in potato noodles. It’s because they have a glutinous texture, so it makes it more chewy and flexible.

The lady on the right used potato starch tho I bet the issue was not working the dough long enough
@izznis Жыл бұрын
@@WiggyWamWam Potato starch can be substitute with rice flour but not normal flour or corn starch cos it would effect the texture and shape like you see in the video. You can use some sort of binder like water or eggs, but still doesn't taste the same, basically becomes gnocchi

I love that you try these different foods, many of which are ethnic recipes that I remember other kids balking at or outright calling gross when I was a kid (Filipino family with a dad's side that's heavily Chinese in background). Your enthusiasm to try new recipes and forging forward even with some hindrances is so inspiring as well because that's how one *really* learns how to cook! I'm so pleased you like so many of the recipes as well, showing that many different ethnic foods aren't weird or gross, just different and should be given a chance. :)

She's British they love trying international cuisines they're known for it and that country they kind of put you all together to learn how to get along not like from where I'm from in America it's so big and bass that a lot of us don't share multicultural backgrounds and due to colorism we are also separated from being able to experience international dishes me I'm from African and Asian and Latin and indigenous Origins. So a lot of the dishes in my family are combinations of so many different cultures when people actually see us cook them they look at us like wow I didn't know you could cook that certain food and we're like that certain food is a part of our bloodline we just happened to be dark skin only three generations from the boats 😂🤷🏾♀️ After watching a lot of her videos I started to notice I was like she's not from the US only 20% of my father's side of the family lives in the US we have some sprinkled in the Latin America the Caribbean Continental Africa in a lot in the UK AND CANADA. THERE'S CERTAIN IDENTIFIERS AND MANNERISMS THAT AS COUSINS PICK UP THAT WE KNOW WHERE EACH ONE IS FROM. THIS BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY IS DEFINITELY FROM THE UK. AND I LOVE MY UK FAMILY BECAUSE WHEN THEY COME AROUND THERE NOTHING LIKE MY AMERICAN FAMILY THAT WENTZ OR SAY SOMETHING IS GROSS THEY LIKE TO TALK ABOUT FOODS AND GIVE GOOD RECIPES AND TALK ABOUT DIFFERENT DISHES FROM AROUND THE WORLD OR STUFF THEY PICKED UP IN THE UK AND IT'S JUST FUN THEY LOVE FOOD THEY LOVE TRYING NEW THINGS AND THEY'RE ALWAYS FASCINATED WITH FOODS THAT I BRING TO THE TABLE BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS IT LATIN-AMERICAN IT'S ALSO SOUTHERN AFRICAN AMERICAN AS WELL.

Microwave 2 minutes then stir it 5. Put it in microwave 1 minute again 6. Add seasoning And enjoy :) ❤
