I'm lactose intolerant. I could handle that. It would be so little cheese per serving it's fine(and if there was a problem it wouldn't be bad) But all that milk that's too big a price to pay😂

Depending on the cheese (hard cheese is better in this case) there may be little to no lactose left. My brother is lactose intolerant and he has several cheese types he ca eat even in larger quantities. The longer the cheese ripens the lower the lactose content remaining.

I tried it and it was great!! Just be careful not to cook it too long in the pan, if it’s too thick it’ll set much harder and not get the nice jiggle and soft texture.

@@zzevonplant I used swiss cheese, and since it’s really mild and soft it doesn’t taste like cheese at all. i read her recipe on her website and she said the cheese makes it creamier, which it did.

@@diahan9896 probably, I think she just suggested coconut milk because it’s creamier and a bit thicker, but I’m pretty sure whatever milk you want is fine (I just used cow’s milk but I’m not lactose intolerant). and you might not like the taste of cononut. I’ve never had soy milk before but I’m pretty sure it’ll turn out good.

@@D0NCH33T0 Colby is one of them, it’s basically lactose free. Your harder, more aged cheeses are usually best if you want something that won’t bother your stomach as much. I usually eat mozzarella bc it doesn’t bother my stomach🥰 I love string cheese since it’s literally that. And Swiss cheese is great too! Not all of them are all the way lactose free but it’s pretty dang close so I never have any discomfort after eating those☺️

There are plenty of cheeses that contain no lactose due to the way they are made. I don't think Swiss cheese is one of them because it's softer, but lots of harder cheeses are naturally lactose free

Lactain pills. The absolutely do work, but you have to take like six of them, ignoring the directions. And this is fine as there are no harmful substances in said pills. They just contain the enzyme your stomach needs to digest the dairy properly, which you lack.
