Where does the tradition of the 7 colors meal come from? Why 7 colors?

I’m not sure how the tradition started. I should actually try and find it. We just grew up with it. All I know is that Sunday was a day where you can have the nice food after church and the plate had to be colourful with all the different salads. Some people argue that it’s actually several colours and not seven colours. Either way it’s some good food 💕💕💕
