That is an amazing adventure! I never knew a resort of this sort in the Philippines. It looks like it is run quite well with guides assisting tourists when they go white water rafting from getting hurt, a nice soak in a vat of boiling water, a boodle fight, and staffed by indigenous folks! Truly a cracking find!

Rivers in Antique are filled with semi precious stones such as turquoise, amethyst, opal, jade, agate and jasper ... I think it is in Sibalom where in you see boulders of these precious stones scattered all over the river but the Government is now regulating it and declared the site as protected area.

There's quite a few inn our river too North of Iloilo. My dad even picked up a stone with mixed with sparkling golds. He used it as a paper weight in school where he taught. Nobody cares but he knew there's gold in it.

That tubing and jumping into the river looks like a lot of fun and best way to work up an appetite. The boodlefight food looks finger licking good and very filling. I guess it's good everybody had lunch before the hot bath! The ladies being cooked are really hilarious: too much cholesterol! That's a new type of Filipina stew. I've heard of fine dining but this is the first time for Finn coffee! That's some rare merchandise. Keep calm and have coffee. You could have used the sugar for exfoliation on your sunburn, maybe the sweetness will take the sting of the burn away. Also coconut oil afterwards. I'm impressed with the terracotta pot next to you. Were you in a similar pot? it is traditional in some parts of the Philippines to use black terracotta pot for cooking. It's nice to hear that the indigenous people were and are involved in the tourism business you went to. The water music can be really calming especially during a massage after an intense day of activities. The only time I let fish eat me was in Mykonos: in the sea were these silver fish.

I grew up in Panay but never been to this part of Antique. Gives me an idea of where to bring my kid and her friends from UIC ( University of Illinois in Chicago) and experience them this kawa (wok) hot tub. We have a pamahiin (beliefs) there after a funeral and after a woman deliver her baby we wash our hands and bathe the mother in a boiled leaves/herbs which old people believed it's medicine. Great adventure in the land of Witches Finn.
