@@Mona-ue5uk hip-hop is universal. Cookie Crew started in 83'. I think that's early enough in hip hop to be legit. They were welcomed with open arms in NY in 89', about the time Latifah was starting on a label. Of course there was only room for the best which was the authentic artists from the states.

I loved these girls. I was a teenager when this came out and I used to race home from school to watch Yo Mtv Raps and I finally set my VCR to record this video. I knew a girl at school who looked Suzie Q and everybody was wearing triple fat goose down jackets. I was a young white kid in suburban California loving these girls like crazy. At that time I could hardly imagine a British hip hop culture until I saw this. I didn't like We Poppa Rappers though. They sucked.
