Times were so diffrent back in the late 60's and 70's. I remember from my very youngest days. That every Friday Dad would get home from work. My Mom had everything packed and we'd go to either set of grandparents for the weekend. We lived just a little over an hour or so from both sets. Our house was half way between both. Sometimes the grandparents would come to our house. On Sunday, we'd all get up, go to church, eat dinner, wash dishes and head back home. We always had so much fun playing with our cousins and camping out in Grandma's 2 big feather beds on the sleeping porch!. For those that don't know a sleeping porch is a very large 2nd story porch with windows on three sides. It was used to keep cool in the summer months. ❤ These days everyone lives far apart and in my case, I only see my grandkids every 6 months! That's what's wrong with the younger generations. They spend all their time with friends and see very little of their family members! 😢😢😢

I use the air fryer method for mine. Right out of the fridge eggs, no preheat necessary. For 6 eggs, air fry at 270°F for 14 minutes and then put into an ice bath. This is for soft/jammy eggs. Add or minus a minute or two if you want runny/hard-boiled eggs.

My momma had a set of dishes similar to I think it’s the third bowl you used but with a thin line of gold around the rim. I found some saucers like them in goodwill and two bowls which I use often. Good memories. I’m 70 and I know your family is being taken care of by you and your kids will cherish items that remind them of you and all you do.

My Mom and Grandma made potato salad for all the big family gatherings. They would always ask how she made it. I literally typed up the recipe and made a bunch of copies. It was funny when everyone learned her “secret” was mixing mayonnaise and miracle whip, mustard, onions, celery and sweet relish, and juice from the relish jar. Yours seems very similar. Either way I think it’s depending on what you grew up on. There are so many variations out there. I say make it how you and your family like it. I personally don’t eat mayo or miracle whip or ranch dressing so I’ve never tried any potato salad or anything else that has them as an ingredient. However, I make it for my family because they like it. I just won’t taste it. They have to be the taste testers!!😂
