Cooking for 18 Farmers in the Semifinals | MasterChef Canada | MasterChef World

In the semifinals, the four semifinalists arrived at Cave Spring Vineyard, an off-site farm and vineyard in the Niagara region of Ontario's rural countryside, to cook individually for 18 farmers and the judges. The semifinalist with the best dish will advance straight to the finale, while the semifinalist with the weakest dish will be eliminated.

So true! However you could say that near the end, specifically in this episode, he was biased by the chefs very clearly. If you compare his dish to Line’s for example, both of them had small complaints (David’s dressing/reduction was more thick than expected; Line’s mushrooms were smaller than expected). If you compare both complaints you could see that they were subjected to ingredients that weren’t necessarily the star of the dish, which is the protein. I definitely think Line should’ve won this challenge, even if David was better overall in the season.

I really liked how David was able to be on of the top 2 for the finale, he is such a strong spirited person and thinks beyond the box with cooking. He most definitely deserved the win👍

Cody was the only one who had to spend time to process his ingredient (cut & fillet the fishes) while others did not, so obviously he had disadvantage there.

David had a huge advantage with venison as his protein, it is the easiest out of all four to cook imo and also the most naturally delicious if all else was equal. Meanwhile Cody's pickerel gave him a huge disadvantage as pickerel is, again just my opinion, the least tasty mea t of the four. Not the hardest to cook though, that would be squab. Line's squab actually looked undercooked to me even though the judges said it was a good cook

They are not there for money only lol jokes on you infact those 100K Dollars are there for secondary prize only the main prize of this competition is MasterChef Canada Title and thier own cook book so that they can become renowned chefs in entire Canada. They don't even care about money they are getting as a prize pool.
