Cooking lunch in the Sahara Desert in the Tiris Zemmour Region, Mauritania.

It is lunchtime, and we are preparing lunch under a lone tree in the Sahara Desert in the Tiris Zemmour Region, Mauritania. The team is trying to get some rest, and the chefs are busy preparing the meal. We are fortunate to find a big tree where we can stop and rest. The chefs (Edel and Walid) are busy cooking the lamb with rice in a pot on a bed of charcoal. There is also a barbeque lamb being prepared. Our hosts are well prepared with all the necessities for cooking and resting. They did not put the tent up since this big tree provided enough shade for us to rest while waiting for lunch.
