Years ago I worked as a chauffeur in Los Angeles. Many clients were not kind and I was mistreated on a regular basis. Of all the clientele I drove, the Saudis were the kindest, most considerate, and generous! I was honored one evening as I was awaiting to drive a Prince at his mansion to be invited into the home and partake in the most delicious food that I have ever tasted! Many days before I was sent home they always made sure i had dinner, then after, release me from my duties. Most mornings, they treated me to breakfast before I drove them. In ten years, no one was as kind and considerate as Saudis. I look forward to visiting the Kingdom, retracing your steps Mark! What wonderful people!

I am Saudi from the western region and this is the first time I see or hear about this lamb dish (I meant the brown sticky rice! Looks so good and must be different than our usual Kabsah). I need to try this! Other dishes were unique but the kabsah was more interesting. I wonder if it was easy to make? Thanks Mark and enjoy your stay in Saudi. I wish you and yours safe travels filled with joy and delicious food.

Sticky rice don't look appetizing . Either was that white lamb whatever it was ... Kabash rice is good . But the one he made look like he added to much water ..im

I'm glad you are making this series. I grew up at least partly in Saudi Arabia so I'm happy to see others getting the chance to see some of the good things about the culture and people. I'm also very happy that they are opening up so much more in recent years.
