Love to see this higher-end cooking. Been a line cook for 2 years at a few different gastro-pubs with the usual $12-$16 plates of freezer steaks and fried food. Now I’m about to graduate culinary school with an Associates in December. Great content, look forward to seeing more !

I'm tired of that sound. I like the music. It drowns out the sound of the ticket machine in my head.

@@relativemotion Ha! Great comment. I’m very new to working in a pro kitchens, and as much as I love the buzz and my Chefs are great guys - there are moments I don’t feel prepped enough, or know I’ve prepped well, yet still dread that buzzer sound… I hopev& am I’m sure it’ll change…

I've been a DMO on and off since I was 19 (36 now) and was quite comfortable just washing dishes though I've always loved the art of plating. Went to an interview today for dish and the Head Chef seen other plans for me. I reckon I'll be a line cook now. I LOVE THIS LIFE!!! 💯

Nice editing but I think it would be better to just keep the POV view and show some plates from start to finish... to get the idea of how fast you have to move, in real time. Just my two cents. Good video.

Hello Chef! Great video! At 5:17, what are you using in the fish? It kind of looks like a thermometer but very thin. Thanks!

That's professional, many cooks need to learn it. However, It's quite difficult to maintain the cleanliness of the working area during the servers. I have worked in different restaurants and when I off work, just like I have been through a war in the kitchen every day.

Where are your gloves/ppe, bro? People looking in my kitchen would balk at anything being prepared bare-handed. I WISH I could get away with plating without gloves on.
@yeschefwithchadkubanoff2 жыл бұрын
I hate gloves as i think most cooks do. I think its way cleaner to use my hands which i wash at least 50 times a shift vs. gloves that get changed rarely.
@worstwizzard59322 жыл бұрын
Oh, absolutely. For those of you who don't know (sitting in the dining room), the hands of the cooks preparing your food are way cleaner than the nitrile gloves they've been wearing for an hour lol alas DHEC has decided we should wear garbage bags with the garbage on the outside on our hands to protect you from contamination lmao
