Yummy! Haven't seen ham hocks canned since my father passed away. Had 9 hogs to process one year our 2 freezer could not hold so he went to canning. Love his canned sausage.

New subber here. Those looks so yummy. I would of eaten most of it, just taking it off the bone. I'm making 2 day Turkey bone broth with tendons. I had the wood man come and deliver some wood for us, and he told us about your channel, neighbor ; )

Looks so very good. Did you smoke your own or buy at butcher shop? I will pass information on about deer to our hunters. It was a hard year here in Indiana this year for them.

I am thinking of getting some for my keto diet b
@user-wj3yr7xr2f2 жыл бұрын
About healthy diets.Yes sure, its a lot of fat. But we need some fat even if we want to lose weight. That aside.. Bone broth contains collagen/protein (which is used in skincare products and joint supplements), minerals like calcium which supports teeth and bones, amino-acids thats good for your nervsystem and guthealth. magnesium that prevents muscle cramps , and is really hard to get from any other food sources that bone broth. Because health nuts figured out that se missed so much nourishment from modern food. This is the biggest trend right now. In new york they sell Bonebroth in the same way as coffee.

The only thing unhealthy about this was the rice. Protein and fat is good for you... But carbs? Not so much, and that's practically all rice is. The idea that fat is unhealthy is completely wrong unless we're talking about unnatural vegetable and seed oils. Animal fat/ghee, olive, and avocado oil are the only things people should be consuming.

Carbs are okay in moderation, preferably those with a higher fiber content. You're not going to die from eating a little avocado, greens beans, or broccoli.
