In Ivory Coast we call it KPALALA. Our own is a bit more watery, we add smoked prawn powder and fish powder and any proteins of choice. We can also do plain without proteins and serve it alongside palm nut soup. We enjoy it with cassava dough. It’s very yummyyyyy😋😋😋😋 Thank you for sharing Tati❤️❤️❤️

The soup made with the jute leaves looks like CALLALOO. Our Callaloo made in Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 is made with leaves and stalk of the Taro, coconut milk, okra, crabs or salted meat, hot pepper, pumpkin, carrot and other seasonings. Its our national dish and very delicious. Eaten with rice or provisions or by itself as a soup.

I beg to differ. This food is very popular in the Volta region and maybe because Togo is close to the Volta region, they copied it😂. Honestly, this tells me how close we all are with each other. Food travels and many times it transforms. I had this food from a Voltarian the exact way and it was delightful. Cheers to Ghana and Togo. We have so much in common. There goes the Ademe war😅
