I just can't help but think that the judges wanted Reynold to win and really didn't want to send him home. I think they all expected him to go on and win it. But it's just a shame he made a small error in the hero of the dish, and they simply had no choice. Had he messed up another aspect I think the judges would have saved him.

I feel like the same happened with Sara's elimination, season 7 was pure gold and I feel like they didn't want to send home any of the top 5, especially considering Sara and Reynold were always at the top of their game and went home so unexpectedly..

Yeah there are definitely better ways of getting that sort of technique don with out a wire on an open rack, such as a small blow torch

@@riccardo5753 with a tad too much heat or time on that rack even oil can't save it. Especially since the meat was fish, it was way easier to lose the skin than if you're cooking something like chicken with this method.

@@LeonisYT Blow torch can lead to a bit of a gas flavor, especially problematic with things like such a delicate fish. I think maybe oiling the wrack could help, don't know about the heat transfer then, still better than a bare wrack.

Throughput this season, what i think is reynold only capable to cook a fantastic and amazing desert. But no for a savoury dishes. Even when he cooked rendang, the meat turned out to be undercooked. Undercooked and overcooked meat is something that unacceptable in any MC around the world.

imho, reynold deserved that spot over jessica. in fact i think sara was a better cook than jessica. matthew too. she was the only contestant in this season who i thought got through on luck rather than talent and skills in the later stages. otherwise, this was THE BEST season of masterchef australia.

when a bad apple sits on the jury and expresses its envy for a lack of talent. in a kitchen raynold could have chosen a fillet with the right thickness to achieve the perfect cooking point. just because “you” shouldn't turn the fillet? how else could you have reached the cooking point in the pan without completely destroying the skin of the fish? ridiculous to a young person without much experience but with god-given talent disrespect. always the same with such fools !!!

because they cooked in a group and if the group loses, reynold loses too. in most of the episodes reynold gave perfect deserts that no one else could. and also during last episodes, he was under pressure and couldn't perform too good.
