I love Lou!!! I just love her!! I love her with Dan, Bri and Jacob!!! And you can pre-order your groceries on Wal-Mart and pick them up or have them delivered in most areas. So keep cooking!! Please we love it!!! Don't stop!! Cause then we would never see you and Lou do anything. Unless you start going live for maybe like a Winedown Wednesday where you pick a wine and just chat with us. And she put the right amount of everything. And the flour on the chicken makes the gravy you use made, thicker. No need to add extra.

I use cream cheese & milk. I’ve given up suggestions. They can do what they like I suppose 🙄 I still do all homemade. - Meat, veges & a starch. Apparently we are rarities if we cook meals at home. 😂

Dan I think your gravy had that yellow floating around on the top was cause you added more olive oil , also the Parmesan cheese helps thicken the gravy along with the heavy whipping cream , and with 5 lbs of potatoes that amount of sour cream was just right amount ! The better they taste the better we love them. 😋 You're lucky you didn't wreck your dish by adding that raw flour. If you need to add a thickener do a slurry on the side in a separate dish and then add it to your recipe. Just a lil tip. Looking forward to your next episode of cooking with Dan and Lou. A slurry is flour, cold water or milk mixed really well in a side dish or cup and slowly pour into a hot dish gravy. Stirring well as slowly added to avoid lumps.

Norma here. This was a fun video. I love how innocent Lu looked when questioned about the side eye look she gives you. Maybe she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it. I’m also a side eye master. lol. That dinner looked absolutely delicious. I really have to try that chicken. Dan, it seems as though you have mastered biscuits. I make my mashed potatoes with half & half, butter and cream cheese instead of sour cream. Everyone really seemed to enjoy their dinner. I bet they love being invited over to try all these new recipes. Lu, you should definitely start a book with all these new recipes including any changes that you, or especially Dan make to them. You can even rate them according to your family’s favorites.

LOL 😄😆 OK, I seemed to remember that when y'all had the Sunday after church meal at y'all's house, it seems you always had pick-up (pizza, ETC.) food, while Paw Paw, GiGI, and Kim always cooked. Now I get it. I thought it was because you and Lou did a lot at church so it was easier to just pick up food. PS, they say Jami does that side eye too. So ask her or Lester what it is. I may be wrong, but I think why you thought the sauce was too thin, is because you add more oil. If you are adding the flour (Tablespoon) do it before the liquids (in the oil, like gravy). Add yes Dan you can use cornstarch to thicken if you already added the liquid. Put 1 tablespoon in a small cup or bowl and add a small amount of liquid (water, milk, or broth)

Good morning Dan an Lou so I must’ve not seen this particular video a year ago however I would like to say I would love to see more of this cooking from scratch. I am so proud of the both of you and if you compare that with process that you make quite a bit more taste so much more healthierand I absolutely love cooking from scratch as it takes a little bit longer and has more steps than processed food cooking.
