Cooking with mom | My first time making Indian snacks!

Hello hello,
Welcome to the Mann Kitchen! In this video, my mom guides me as we prepare one of her favourite childhood snacks - bread rolls. This is a popular Indian snack, often served with tea as an alternative to samosas. The bread rolls were delicious and I'd highly recommend you give it a try!

Recipe:
4 large size boiled potatoes
1 medium onion, finely chopped
16-20 slices of white bread
1 tsp salt (to taste)
1 Tbsp coriander powder
1 Tbsp dry mango powder (ambchoor)
1 Tbsp green chillies
3/4 cup room temperature water to soak the bread and seal the rolls
2 cups oil for frying
(Optional-Cooking spray for air frying or baking)
Method:
- Boil and drain the potatoes. When cooked, lightly mash.
- Add chopped onion
- Add salt, coriander powder, dry mango powder and green chillies.
- Mix well.
- Lightly dip bread slice in water. Placing it on one palm, squeeze out all the
water using both hands.
- Place a heaping Tbsp of potato mixture in centre of bread slice. Fold the
sides over and seal, using more water if needed.
- Deep fry (bake or air fry) until golden brown. Drain excess oil on paper
towel.
- Enjoy with mint (pudina) chutney and/or ketchup.
- Makes 16-20 rolls

This was so nostalgic to watch as it was my Late Maasi ji Sardarni Harinder Kaur Brar who introduced this recipe of Bread Rolls in our family, the only difference being she made it in a circular form.
