Ok. PASTA subject: Make water boil in a pan. Put a pinch of "thick" grain salt in the water when it arrives at boiling point. Then put in the pasta and cook it for 12-14 minutes. Once the pasta is on a plate, put the sauce on top or, (other way), heat the sauce for 1-2 minutes in another pan (don't burn it!) and then put the pasta directly in the sauce pan. Mix everything in the pan and then serve it on a plate. END. (trust me, I'm Italian)

Actually the whole idea of adding salt is to do it at the beginning. This is because salt lowers the boiling point of water meaning it will reach boiling point faster and so you can get cooking faster as well as adding flavour to the dish ;)

Life hack! Once you have boiled water in the kettle, don't leave the remaining water that you didn't use inside! Empty all the water and keep the lid open to dry it. Do this every time you finish using the kettle. This will prevent the limescale/calcium building up inside the kettle! Therefore, you can keep it in brand new condition and use it for a long time.
