Ive made something similar to this...instead of usjng sausages/hotdogs, I brown a pound of hamburger, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and onion...drained any grease, and added a bit of tomato paste and italian seasoning to make an extra thick type of spaghetti sauce!! Instead of adding the sausage and cheese inside the toast, substitute with a tablespoon (or two) of the thick spaghetti sauce, top with shredded mozarella cheese all over and bake as directed. Soooooo yummy!!!!!
