@@CookingWithClams Aloha, and baby steps. Didn’t start free diving until my mid thirties in Hawaii. While I never became a Kimi or an Aaron, still caught enough lobster, tako, and fish to eat. You have the added benefit of said roomate(with a boat) to learn from.

I was in the Seafood business for 20+ years and I keep the big grouper heads from the fish we processed and smoke them. It is delicious meat and I make a lot of awesome fish dip from them and everyone loves it!

Those eggs are just ok to me. But if you want to get it runny on it yolks, Place the eggs on a large ladle, gently plunge it into the water when boiling, time it for 5 minutes, scoop it out and plunge it into the ice water.

@@CookingWithClams Ya or any of the invasives, I don't know them well (I think you have Armored Catfish, Pacu, Snakehead, or cichlids (mayan, oscar, midas, jaguar, spotted tilapia) I don't think ive seen a catch and cook for any of them.

The reason why I don’t is because it will alter the stock which was perfectly balanced and nice and clear. Same reason I don’t boil the noodles in the stock. Just a personal preference

I think you should have replaced the celery with lemongrass in the stock. It will balance the seafood flavors nicely.

LOL'ed at the 'Mad Scientist Giggle' at 15:10 or so, as the fish bunched up in the blender! Can I ask a wee favor? Not recognizing the stuff shaken on, as garnish, and so on, can you provide a list of what you threw in, in the description? Or speak the name at least, as it goes on? Just so we know. Some of us Northern Landlocked folks only occasionally get near anything much more Asian, than Ichiban at the Grocery store, and having an idea what to look for on those rare enough shopping trips to a well stocked Asian Grocery place would be a lot of help! That looks killer, Will. Were you going for a specific internal temp on the fish balls? Fish balls never sounded appealing until now- I didn’t realize all they consisted of. Hey you mentioned sin a few times. On a slightly more serious note, did you know the Bible teaches how we can go to heaven in spite of our sin? Most people would say that they’ve been good enough to get into heaven. Would you pass the test? Let’s take a quick look! 1. How many lies have you told in your whole life? 2. Have you ever stolen anything no matter how little the value? 3. Ever had lust for someone who wasn’t your spouse or sex outside of marriage? 4. Ever used the Lord’s name in vain (like OMG)? These are just a few of the 10 Commandments and if you answered yes to these questions that would make YOU like the rest of US. And being judged by GOD’S standards, would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or hell? The 10 Commandments are God’s moral law and we’ve all broken them. The Bible says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) which means we have all EARNED death (hell). But the free gift of God is eternal life. Because of God’s love for you, he has provided a way to heaven (1 Timothy 2:4). He sent his son Jesus Christ to pay our penalty. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins (1 John 2:2) and rose bodily from the grave three days later defeating death, giving us life. Jesus took the punishment we deserve on the cross (1 Peter 2:24). If we believe and put our trust in Him, we too can have eternal life in heaven (Acts 16:31). Repent (which means turn from your sins and not live the life of a hypocrite) and TRUST Jesus today! A great place to begin reading the Bible is the gospel of John, found between Luke and Acts.
