My husband got me this for my Christmas present this year and gave it to me early because I ran out of propane for my stove. I am totally sold on ninja foodi products! I absolutely love this machine. It's worth every single penny

How do you not find it annoyingly loud and high pitched? I couldn't stand it so it's going back. Compared to the instant brand ones they are so so loud

For those who don't want to upgrade, this can also be done with the previous models. My wife cooked one this way, and the only difference was using the separate steam function for 15 minutes and then air-crisping it at 365 degrees for 1 hour, and the chicken turned out fantastic.

I used "tendercrisp" method that came with the recipe. First you pressure cook in steam at high setting for 20 min and then air fry for 15-20 min. It turns out very tender inside and crispy outside.

I cooked a 6.5 pound Chicken Roast (Perdue) it came in a bag but I took it out, seasoned it well and cooked it for 60 mins. When I tell you it was perfect! Delicious. I've had the traditional Ninja Foodi that I used to air crisp my chicken with. It used to come out good but cooking in this Steam and Crisp air fryer was on another level! Thanks for the video Doug.

I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare kzbin.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.

Yes..because sometimes pressure cookers turns meats to a rubbery consistency

Hey Doug, love your videos and also love my Foodi w/ the smart lid. 90% of the meals I make in the Foodi are pressuring cooking frozen chicken breasts, pressure cooking regular and sweet potatoes, etc. I also use the sous vide when I make steaks. Regarding the steam & crisp, what is the difference between it and idk air fry or bake or broil? I bought (4) pre-seasoned chicken thighs that were on sale at the grocer this morning and really don't know which function to use. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated! Would kind of like to try to make both those and (2) potatoes at the same time, know any functions that could do this? Thanks, you're the man

I would have put the dry seasonings on earlier and let them soak in and get moist or put them on wet that's why some of the seasonings are burnt and the color looks burnt because some of the seasonings absorbed moisture and some did not put them on and wrap the chicken let sit until they are moist so they don't burn the burnt looking parts are where the seasonings where dry or over seasoned the bird should look the same all over not burnt in some places sorry just my opinion.
