The R230-R231 SL's all had Active Body Control [ABC] which is hydraulic, not AirMatic which is on the S-Class. The only thing bad about Distronic is it's incompatible with radar detectors [k-band], but you can turn it off. I say that because you already know here in Maryland we have the robot speed traps. I love the additional heated and dynamic seat controls which are new to the SL here.

Correction. ABC was optional on non-AMG R231 cars (a rather rare option), but standard on the SL63 and SL65.
