You can also run directly on rechargeable batteries. How much torque does it provide? You can also test it on bricks as well. If the old rotor is still good, you could have simply removed the stator and fit strong magnets on both sides of the rotor in the casing. It would save much work. Do cutting and no drilling to fit dc motor.

Guard removal of the grinder is a no no. After you have, or seen one explode you'll be a believer in grinder guards.
@1942nn4 жыл бұрын
The grinder guard gets into the way of a lot of cutting application such as cutting , sanding granite. Just make sure your body is not in the same plane as the disc. If the disc ever broke, pieces will miss your body. However, I have NEVER seen a disc broken when in use for almost 20 yrs using the grinder. I am still careful though.
@trevormiles58523 жыл бұрын
I was cutting a sewer pipe and it exploded. spent 25 min looking for disk . I gave up and headed to Home Depot and there it was in my car tire 40 feet away.. later I saw trhe skip marks on asphalt . looking back, never so happy to see flat tire and not flat friend.

sorry, I've tried that conversion - and they just don't have the torque or power that way. It's like a Gas lawnmower compared to an electric one- it will work- but major loss of power.

If you are going to do that much work on it, replace the broken cord also. BUT, with the price of the motor, new cord, and the time, I would have bought a new drill. Very good idea though. Very lucky to find a motor that even fits.
@prestondallas40352 жыл бұрын

The main reason for these videos is not to repair the tool or equipment you see but to share an idea of how such repairs could be done.
