I'm not exactly sure why no one seems to talk about this, but for volume control on the fly I use a simple AutoHotkey bind that allows me to increase or decrease volume by holding Alt and scrolling upwards or downwards on my scroll wheel. If you're looking for a free solution for volume control, this may help.

5:33 literally perfect for highschool marching band. It gets really cold towards the end of the season where I live. I just had a practice before a competition when it was 30 degrees. This is a must have for cold early morning rehearsals for competition days. Prolly gonna buy this. (I play bass clarinet so I literally don't ever feel my fingers lol)

If you don't have the money to spend for that audio control device, you can add up & down volume buttons to your Elgato Stream Deck. Just a heads up in case anyone wasn't aware of that. It comes in handy so you don't have to go searching for the volume control in the bottom right corner of your Windows desk top And/or don't have a volume control on your keyboard.

mouse pads are 🔥, but it would be cool if they came in narrower sizes. Some people have economically sized desks and/or have monitor stands/shelves already eating up precious real estate. An 11-to-12-inch depth pad would be perfect. Myself, I've been eyeing the Black Nexus pad, but I don't think the 16-inch depth will work with my setup.

8:25 one time i spilled my coffee on my $100 keyboard lmao i was so pissed, i had a 2nd monitor and bumped into it causing it to turn and just barely graze the handle of my mug and the way my desk was setup at that time it went all over my keyboard. ditched that setup for an ultrawide and never have to worry about spilling my drink as long as i dont flail my arms like a madman haha

It looks like Vaydeer has an updated model that also includes a mic mute option (but requires drivers to be installed for the mic mute functionality) -- would be nice to see a comparison of the two. One oddity - the drivers appear to be only needed for the volume mute but the link I was given when I asked for them was a 100mb installer... the size seems very excessive.

About the media keys - the second you showed that product I was oh but I have a mechanical board. Then the next second you mentioned mechanical boards but said the exact opposite of what I was thinking.. Every mechanical board I have can be programmed to add any key anywhere so I've always had a shortcut in a layer to control media 🤔

I’m in love with your setup. Can you please explain, how you use each monitor? I’m trying to understand the purpose of their placement. It seems the lower center is your main for gaming, browsing, etc. The right looks like social media apps, but I can’t figure out what the left and top center are used for. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!

Idk which moft think you have but mine is magsafe and not adhesive. It is kinda weak but I don't use it for anything extreme so it works for me
