Thank you for this! My crafty preteen loves tie dye and we considered how to tie dye polyester shirts (it can be done but it's nowhere near as simple as cotton or blends!) Definitely going to show her this and see if she wants to try this method!

That would depend on your budget and also convince. I prefer the Sawgrass because it does self maintenance, has a warrantee and is a sublimation printer.

Love this! What if I don't have a heat press? Will it work when used with an Easy Press? I would use infusible ink sheets since I don't have a sublimation printer, but I think the two methods (sublimation and Infusible Ink) came out pretty similar. Does the shirt need to be 100% polyester or just partially polyester? Thanks so much!!!!

Is there such a thing as carrier sheets for your own printed sublimation sheets? Like the carrier sheets on the pre-printed ones that you purchase? I have looked everywhere and cannot find anything like it. It must exist because they use for the pr-printed one that you can cut and weed. It would be nice to find such a thing that you can print out your own patterns and then can cut on your cricut such as letters, etc.

I think you are referring to the infusible ink sheets. But no, there isn't carrier sheet for sublimation but you could probably try using a HTV transfer sheet🥰🥰

this is horrible, my sticker is stuck and the glue residue!! Wow how would this not be a thing at 390° for 60 seconds twice to do both sides of tie dye before removing the mask! I love wasted materials :(

Putting the actual artwork down scrunching the shirt around it and then pulling the artwork out and squeezing it together to hide where the artwork goes was the ticket to a perfect sublimation tie-dye shirt.
